Founder & Photographer – Doug Zacker

Twenty years ago Doug left the University of Wisconsin intent on traveling the world as a photojournalist. Fate begged to differ and, over a number of years, he taught fifth grade as a Teach For America corps member, managed TFA’s program in New York City, marketed the New York Times to educators and led various communications endeavors at The Home Depot, including their corporate responsibility programs.

Through all those experiences, his camera remained nearby and his photographs appeared in venues like the first national ad campaign for TFA and annual reports for The Home Depot.

In 2005 Doug left the corporate world and returned to photography full time. His projects include working with individuals and families, as well as companies and organizations of all sizes. However, he does so with a camera in hand and the perspective, passion and skills gleaned from diverse experiences, a robust family life and a desire to constantly learn.

Doug’s unique experiences enable him to listen and be keenly aware of his clients’ needs. Coupled with his eye for capturing moments in time, his technical know-how and the style he has honed over the past twenty years, this makes Zacker Images the company to turn to for all your photography needs.

Doug will meet with all prospective clients so you have a chance to see for yourself.
